Born on 13 May 1952 in Ptuj. Completed his studies in 1976 and earned the title of Bachelor of Science in Economics. Continued his studies at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and successfully finished in 1998 earning the title of Master of Economic Science. Has been a member of Talum's staff since 1976, when he began working in the company.

In 1984 he took over the role as president of the Collegiate Working Organisation, at the age of only 32. In 1992 he was appointed as the Director of the public company Talum p.o. (p.o. - "full responsibility") and from 1998 onwards he has been performing major activities as President of the Management Board.
