Born on 19 June 1950 in Moškanjci. Graduated from the College of Textile Technology and continued studies at Commercial College in Maribor, where he earned the title of Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1976. Started to work in Talum in the same year.

In 1998 he completed postgraduate studies as a Master of Economic Science. In 2002 he took over the leadership of Commerce Bank in Sarajevo. He returned to Talum in 2003 as a Member of the Board for Finance and Accounting.
