Slugs annealing
Punched slugs fall down onto the assembly line. From here the slugs are guided through vibrators and shakers to the annealing containers.
In the first phase of annealing the punching oil is burnt down and in the second phase the mechanical properties are reduced.

Surface treatment
The slug surface must be roughened up to meet the customer process requirements. This is done with a vibrating or sandblasting operation.
The surface of the slugs and discs must be pure and without damage or oil spots.

Annealing furnaces are used for annealing slugs and discs. In the first phase of annealing the punching oil is burnt down and in the second phase the mechanical properties are reduced by 500 C.
