Laboratory testing

From the sample to the result |
Laboratory tests are conducted for internal and external customers. The main activities include the testing of raw materials, the process characteristics of different materials, aluminium and aluminium alloy products as well as environmental parameters (water, air and waste), evaluation of results and grading in accordance with specifications, norms and legislation.
In accordance with the SIST EN ISO/ICE 17025, standard accredited processes for industrial waters and optical emission spectrometry are conducted. The Slovene accreditation granted us the accreditation document No. LP-045 on 17 August 2004 for a period of four years. ( Annex to the accreditation certificate)
The most important testing methods agreed upon (ISO, EN, DIN itd.) and based on different measuring principles are:
- optical emission spectrometry (OES);
- X-ray diffraction (XRD);
- X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF);
- atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS);
- spectrophotometry (UV/VIS);
- ion cromatography;
- volumetry;
- gravimetry;
- physical and mechanical measurement;
- microscopy and image editing.

We are the first Slovene industrial laboratory accredited for spectroscopy of aluminium and aluminium alloys.
In the laboratory different materials and products are tested:
- aluminium and aluminium alloy products;
- alumina, water glass (sodium silicate) and zeolites;
- raw materials for production of aluminium and carbon products;
- carbon materials;
- water emissions, air emissions, vegetation and waste.
