In the business unit Aluminium, we offer the following services:


Autogenous grinding is appropriate for grinding different materials such as carbon materials, glass-fibbers, chamotte and insulation bricks, different aerated concentrates, cryolite and other friable materials.

We can provide the grinding of the materials into different granulations (0 – 2 mm or 0 – 0,25 mm). The granulation is monitored with speed of airflow through the grinder.

The crushed material can be filled into container bags or a truck tank.


In our company the grey cast is used for cast in of anode and cathode blocks for our own needs. However, we are well prepared to adapt to your wishes and requirements. An available technology and people with years of experience at the casting of the grey cast allow us to take and realise complex external contracts.

Two mid-height frequency induction furnaces for melting grey cast iron are available. The capacity of the furnace is about 1.500 kg grey cast per hour.


Knowledge, experiences and technology allow us the production of different carbon based materials (electrodes, bricks, tubes,...) also for external buyers. We produce more than 50 000 tons of carbon based materials per year.

In the production process we can prepare different mixtures of carbon materials (dust, different granulates from 0 to 15 mm). The carbon dust, different fractions of sifted coke (for example 0,2 – 2 mm, 2 – 6 mm, 6 – 15 mm) can be filled into 25 kg bags or 1250 kg big-bags.


Solid cryolite, which is excess material in the production of primary aluminium is crushed in the autogenous grinder and can be prepared according to your requirements. The maximum input of the granulation of the cryolite to be crushed is 400 mm, a capacity of a process line is 10 t/h.. The output granulation of the crushed cryolite is in a range between 0 and 4 mm.

The grinded crushed material is stored in a silo; bags of 25 kg or 50 kg, or 1250 kg containerbags are filled with a filling device. If the customer so desires, crushed cryolite can also be filled in truck tanks. All shipments of the cryolite are equipped with statutory markings and certificates of a chemical composition.


The Riedhammer calcination furnace has 48 chambers for calcination (calcination without the presence of oxygen in a reducing atmosphere) of various materials.

The technology allows us to simultaneously fully adapt the calcination regime at three different fires to various technological requirements, in particular the gradient of heating and the maximum temperature of baking (1,300 ° C).

The capacity of 70 000 tons per year allows us to realize bigger domestic and foreign orders.


The crushing line is composed of several sequentially installed crushers, with which hard materials are crushed..

At the inlet of the material to the crushing line a powerful hydraulic crusher is installed, which can crush pieces with a size of up to 1500 mm. The granulation of the crushed material at the outlet is less than 30 mm.

The crushed material can be sifted to different granulates. Suitable materials for the crushing in the crushing devices are hard and brittle materials (such as coke, cryolite, various types of bricks etc.). The prepared material can be filled into truck tanks, caontainer bags or 25 kg bags.


A shot blasting allows us an effective removal of impurity from an outside surface of elements.

We can blast different metallic and non-metallic materials with a maximum diameter of 200 mm and length up to 10 meters. For shot blasting we use steel dust with a diameter of up to 2 mm. The blasting medium can be replaced with a different medium required by a person placing an order.


In Talum we buy and process a broad spectre of waste aluminium, which includes materials within a field of primary and secondary waste aluminium.
A storehouse of the waste aluminium with its area ensures in all weather conditions constant receipt of material, with the emphasis on bulk cargo. We are equipped with devices for a mechanical preparation of material. These devices enable the processing of materials, which contain additions of plastic and iron. In the assigned melting aggregates in the foundry, we process surface clear and unclear materials with a high efficiency.
